Summer is soon coming to an end ....
I can not believe the summer will soon be over. It feels like it just got started. I have had a few individuals speak to me regarding Sponsor a Teacher and what I am still in need of to move the organization forward. My response has been refined, but still the same needs are conveyed.
In a nut shell, this is what Sponsor a Teacher needs in order for it to begin moving forward:
- 4 individuals who are willing to commit 3-5 hours per month as active and participative board members.
- the type of resume each individual needs to bring with them needs to be one of the following or anyone passionate about the education of our children and our environment:
1) legal - lawyer or working in the legal profession
2) marketing/public relations - specializes in marketing new organizations (not necessarily Non-profit sector) and putting together public relations campaigns
3) education - teacher, administrator, principal, special needs etc
4) CPA - an individual who is a certified public accountant to over see that the financial accounting policies and procedures are upheld and tightened to meet stricter requirements by the IRS
5) business owner - a local business owner
-bringing with them a network of individuals they are able to draw from for further information, experience and funding to grow our business and support our children's education.
